Sarah Dick, Development Director
Sarah Dick directs the development efforts of the organization to ensure CFC’s institutional stability. She leads stewardship efforts with current individual and foundation supporters and promotes CFC’s mission to new and expanded constituencies, cultivating broad-based financial support for CFC’s institutional programs.  Ms. Dick’s prior work experience as a development associate with the National Academy of Sciences as well as her work in grassroots organizing and direct service provision with several Planned Parenthood affiliates throughout the country give her a unique perspective on communicating to donors on issues of sexual health and reproductive justice and rights. Ms. Dick holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Humboldt, and a master’s degree in public affairs, concentrating in nonprofit management from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Jen Girdish, Associate Director of Communications

Jen Girdish is responsible for the organization’s publications development, web presence, and campaigns to effectively enhance and elevate CFC’s position as the definitive authority on reproductive health and rights and Catholicism, and the leading resource on these issues for media, policymakers, advocates and the public.  She serves as the deputy editor of Conscience, CFC’s quarterly magazine.  Ms. Girdish’s professional experience includes senior positions with No Tears Learning, the US Courts, and Robbins-Gioia.  She is a published author who holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master of fine arts in creative writing from Lesley University.

Alisa Goldman, International Program Associate
Alisa Goldman carries out CFC’s activities outside the United States with prochoice Catholics, policymakers, reproductive health providers, advocates and collegial organizations. She leverages CFC’s contributions to inform international debates on sexual and reproductive rights and health, and strengthens prochoice advocacy around the globe. Ms. Goldman’s experience includes working with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and as a research coordinator in Ghana for the University of Michigan OB/GYN Department.  She holds a bachelor of arts degree, with a concentration in human rights, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Sara Hutchinson Ratcliffe, Domestic Program Director
Sara Hutchinson Ratcliffe develops and implements CFC’s US activities, including policymaker education, legislative analysis, advocacy, outreach and relationships with collegial organizations. She directs CFC’s Catholics in Public Life project, a nonpartisan public education initiative that helps Catholic policy makers in the US clearly articulate prochoice positions grounded in progressive Catholicism and sound public policy. Ms. Hutchinson Ratcliffe is an experienced advocate in the public health policy arena where her work has focused on women’s health issues and tobacco control policy at the state and federal level. Working with government agencies and nongovernmental organizations on policy analysis, strategic planning, and legislative and grassroots advocacy, she held positions with several advocacy organizations including Partnership for Prevention, the American Cancer Society’s Center for Tobacco Cessation, Trust for America’s Health and Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. Ms. Hutchinson Ratcliffe holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Tessa Maulhardt, International Program Senior Associate
Tessa Maulhardt coordinates CFC’s activities outside the United States with prochoice Catholics, policymakers, reproductive health providers, advocates and collegial organizations. She leverages CFC’s contributions to inform international debates on sexual and reproductive rights and health, and strengthens prochoice advocacy around the globe.  Ms. Maulhardt’s experience includes working on a range of development and sexual and reproductive health issues both domestically and internationally, including in Latin America and Asia.  She also served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay.  Ms. Maulhardt holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles and a master’s of public affairs, nonprofit management, from Indiana University in Bloomington where she was a Peace Corps Paul D. Coverdell Merit Fellow. She is proficient in Spanish.

Lizamarie Mohammed, Domestic Program Associate
Lizamarie Mohammed promotes CFC’s activities and strengthens prochoice advocacy from a Catholic perspective focusing on state and local level engagement, legislative analysis, advocacy, and relationship building with collegial organizations, policymakers and reproductive health providers. Her experience includes legal support work for a state-level policy coalition and on projects to further reproductive health, rights and justice. Ms. Mohammed holds bachelor’s degrees in government and women’s studies from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and earned her juris doctor from Seattle University School of Law, in Seattle, Washington.

Glenn Northern, Domestic Program Senior Associate
Glenn Northern builds strategic relationships with prochoice Catholics, policymakers, reproductive health providers, activists and collegial organizations to promote CFC’s activities and strengthen prochoice advocacy from a Catholic perspective on the local, state and national levels. Mr. Northern utilizes his extensive experience in public policy, training and technical assistance to help CFC inform and influence debates on sexual and reproductive rights and health, social justice and religious liberty. Before joining CFC, Mr. Northern led constituency building and advocacy efforts at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. He holds a degree in political science and women’s studies from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Kim Puchir, Communications Senior Associate (Publications)
Kim Puchir is editorial associate for Conscience magazine and contributes to CFC’s publications through research, writing, editing and production management. With a background in writing, web and direct service, she has worked in a variety of capacities in healthcare and health advocacy. Ms. Puchir holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC.
