Send a Letter to the Editor on Prevention Not Prohibition Today

The 2008 presidential election has officially kicked off now that the Iowa caucuses are over – and our Prevention Not Prohibition campaign is in full swing!

Starting yesterday in Iowa newspapers, Catholics for Choice has placed our Prevention Not Prohibition ads in the major media of states with early caucuses and primaries. These states also include New Hampshire (January 8), Nevada (January 19), South Carolina (January 26) and Colorado (February 5).

Our message to the candidates is clear and simple – Catholics throughout the United States want the candidates to support policies to reduce the need for abortion by providing:

  • Greater access to safe, reliable and affordable contraception
  • Health care for all
  • Medically accurate sexuality education and
  • Affordable and accessible child care for all children

We need you to push this message through the grassroots within your communities.
