Catholics for Choice Announces Plan to Launch Search for Co-President to Advance Reproductive Freedom
New Executive to Join Chris Wimbush as Co-President
WASHINGTON — Catholics for Choice, which serves the pro-choice Catholic majority, announced its plan to launch a national search for a Co-President to join an innovative co-leadership structure designed to strengthen the organization’s capacity and our unwavering commitment to advancing reproductive freedom as a Catholic social justice value.
Christopher Wimbush, who has served as Interim President since September 1, 2024, and was previously the organization’s Chief Operating Officer, will continue as one of the Co-Presidents, bringing proven leadership in executive administration, staff management, and organizational governance. The new Co-President will focus on development and fundraising, communications and media relations, and programmatic oversight. Both Co-Presidents will share responsibility for implementing the organization’s strategic vision and report directly to the Board of Directors.
Catholics for Choice is currently soliciting proposals from executive search firms to conduct this important recruitment. The organization is deeply committed to partnering with a firm that shares its values and will help build a diverse leadership that reflects the communities it serves.

A co-president leadership model will strengthen our capacity to advance reproductive freedom as a Catholic social justice value and lead the conversation around faith and reproductive freedom.”
Linda Pinto, Immediate Past Chair and member of the Catholics for Choice Board of Directors, will lead the Search Committee, managing the selection of the search firm and recruiting the Co-President. “We’re conducting a thorough national search because this is a critical opportunity for the right leader to help shape the future of reproductive justice,” said Pinto. “Our co-leadership model will allow both leaders to focus on their strengths while working together to amplify the voices of the pro-choice Catholic majority during this critical time for reproductive rights.”
Catholics for Choice is accepting proposals from qualified executive search firms through September 1, 2025. The Co-Presidential search will begin after the search firm partner has been selected.
