I recently encountered a right-wing Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults program that did not align with my beliefs. I was bullied out of the program during Holy Week because I spoke up on a woman’s right to choose. Because of this, I was unable to receive my Sacraments, was shamed by the pastor, and am ineligible to become my niece’s godmother. I would like to join Catholics for Choice because it aligns with my beliefs. This group gives me hope.
